Shingle Street SMG meeting 30-07-2011

A clear sky and cool temperatures resulted in a poor night for moths, with 41 species noted from 8 traps with nothing in high numbers. Best moths recorded were Reed dagger, Silky wainscot, Fen wainscot, Pima boisduvaliella and Scrobipalpa nitentella.

Herringfleet Highlights, night of 12 July

Seemed much slower than the previous outing but despite the conditions we managed 90 species the best of which: Archips crataegana, Anacampsis blattariella, Monochroa cytisella, Aidaina microdactyla, Shaded Fan-foot and Dark Spectacle
