No photo yet but I was really chuffed to find a pristine Toadflax Brocade (Calophasia lunula) in the trap this morning. This has been on my radar as a potential addition to the garden list for some time now … and is as good a reason as any to get on with establishing some Purple Toadflax in the garden!

Like Coleophora amethystinella a moth on the increase in Suffolk. Look out for the Coleophora next Paul.
Well done Paul, a nice moth to get. I was very happy when I got my first one and even happier when I found a larva on my toadflax last year.
Congrat’s on your latest addition Paul, one of my faves. I too had one in my garden trap last night – it seems to be well established in Ipswich now. I had a total of 63 species last night, having missed trapping for a couple of days, which is above average for my garden for the time of the year. Here’s hoping the good mothing continues.
