Early quakers.

Mild conditions last night tempted me to try some traps. Not a huge amount caught and pretty much the same as last time, apart from 2 Common quaker, my first for the year and pretty early but in line with what others have noted.

One Response to Early quakers.

I had my first orthosias of the year this evening. Common Quaker and Small Quaker plus 6 of the usual February species. T. alternella was the most abundant with 38 recorded and around 60 moths in total. Lights were on from dusk until 7.30.
The local Tawny Owls were very active and vocal.
