Marmalade time.

A big influx of Episyrphus balteaus, the marmalade hoverfly. Probably a migration swarm. The hummer still resident around my valerian. Any more migrants around? I saw a clouded yellow in Hampshire last week…

I’ve been trapping at Dunwich for the past week and getting some good moths but none that I could call a migrant except for an Olive Crescent on the 23rd June. Some way from it’s nearest breeding site I would have thought.

Not had a single migrant moth in my traps in Ipswich during the last week.
