Second Sighting of Seldom Seen Shark

15 species last night to three traps. Just 23 individuals. Lights turned off at 11pm. Only the fourth session at home this year so far. Most common was Shuttle-shaped Dart 5, then Hebrew Character 3, First Nutmegs of the season also recorded. Highlight being Chamomile Shark. My second home record.

Congrats on the Shark. I’ve also taken it twice here in Woolpit – in Apr ’07 and May ’10 – but not since. Had my first Nutmeg of the year on Thursday, am still getting the odd Early Grey, and just starting to see Buff-tip and the commoner Prom’s: Swallow, Pebble and Iron.
