Currant clearwing in Ipswich.

To add to Paul’s sighting of Currant clearwing, I’ve just had one myself come to the Tip pheromone in the garden around my own currant bushes, the second time I’ve seen it there. My first clearwing of the year.

Well done Neil .. and welcome back home!

To carry on the theme I’ve been out and about at lunchtimes again. Yesterday, I eventually had a single Six-belted come to api lure on the normally reliable Broom Hill site (so not sure if my pheromone is on its way out or the local population has taken a bit of a hit) then, today, I had two Red-belted come to myo at the spot I tried last year along the old Hadleigh Railway Line. Am still trying for Yellow-legged at various sites but no luck with that species.
