Good night for 9th July. A few nice moths around.

143 species on 9th July included the long awaited Small Elephant Hawk-moth for my site. It was accompanied by 9 of its related Elephant Hawk-moths. Common Footman was the third most abundant after C culmella and Uncertain. Also have Scarce and Dingy Footman. Nice moths for the 9th and recent days include Poplar Lutestring, Large Emerald, Bordered Sallow, Sciota adelphella, Acleris forsskaleana, Rhyacionia pinicolana and Ypsolopha sequella. Thunderstorms last night though.
