A bumper night for me at IGC last night. With the temperature stillĀ 25 degrees C at 10p.m and cloudy, muggy conditions it was all set to be very good. Final total was 208 sp. from my 2 125w Robinson traps.
Loads of interesting stuff, a few listed below.
Small mottled willow
Festoon (8+)
Purple clay (2)
Shaded fan foot (5+)
Dotted fan foot (2)
Marbled brown (a specimen of the rare black form)
Gold swift
Cosmopterix lienigiella
V-Moth (escaped before it was potted up unfortunately!)
Brachima inornatella
Storms arrived this afternoon so I guess that will be the end of the good trapping conditions for a while.

I can’t compete with your bumper crop of moths Neil but I did record a new species for the garden last night in the shape of a male Drinker moth. Also had my first Scarce Footman of the year, plus single Least Carpet and Barred Straw. I was hoping for one of the Eublemma’s to turn up but guess I will just have to keep on dreaming!
I’m up to over 120 spp for that night from my single 125 Robinson and still got a load in the fridge that Neil will be ID-ing for me. First time I’ve broken 100 in June. Gothic was a new macro for me. Small Mottled Willow is quite regular here and I had 7. Plus Leopard and Ghost, which are both unusual – also complete beatle-mania, quite literally covering the bottom of the trap; never seen anything like that before.
