Adelas

Managed to find three species of Adela today, all in the same area of wet grassland at IGC. Found a few Adela reaumerella hanging on (they are almost over now), 10+ Adela rufimitella on Ladies smock flowers and a single Adela fibulella on Germander speedwell flowers. The last one was in fact my first sighting of the species at the site, and is the first new moth for IGC in 2011. Also found lots of Micropterix calthella on Buttercups, 6+ Pyrausta aurata and a Glyphipterix simpliciella – not bad for half an hour daytime searching!
