Spotted a micro as it settled on a water lily leaf in the poly-tunnel midday today. orange with black head area and black wing tips, not metallic, was no bigger than a green fly. Any pointers appreciated.

Maybe Chrysoesthia drurella? They are small and orange.

It is a day flying species that feeds as a larva on Fat Hen, a common weed. I see lots of this moth around my vegetable patch, the Fat Hen gets a bit out of hand at times in that area!
Don’t forget Mompha locupletella and Chrysoclista lathamella (unlikely), although C. drurella is the commoner.
