As I had predicted, last night was a good night for mothing, although bordering on being rained off. The first joint mothing trip for Brian Jones and me was at Fritton/St Olaves, habitat was wet woodland, rough grass bordering arable marsh with reed and marshland plants in ditches. Despite the intermittent light to moderate rain one of the best nights mothing I’ve ever had. Four traps, Brians actinic and Robinson and my two Skinners, kept us very busy. A very large number of moths and species, no details on number of species yet as will take a day or two to id them all and get a list together but will keep you posted.

I agree it was a good night Keith, despite the rain. I ran just a single trap in the garden here last night and it was probably the best night so far for me in that spot – around 100sp, including a few nice things like Kent black arches, Shaded fan-foot (3), Silver Y, Y.sedella (second site record) and A. anthyllidella.
