? Ypsolopha mucronella

Picture attached (hopefully) of possible mucronella from t’other night. Thoughts anyone?

    Looks like it to me. The size of the wingspan should eliminate any doubt, Y. mucronella is the biggest of the Ypsolopha. Y. nemorella looks a bit similar but it’s smaller than Y. mucronella and flies in the summer.

    Cheers Tony. Not easy to measure but wing span is about 30mm so seems to fit. Also looks v. similar to the other mucronella pics on the website. I’ll hang on to it for a bit longer but … no. 497 for the garden and ? a new 10km sq record to boot! Interesting that it’s a spindle feeder. I seem to recall catching a good plume that also feed on spindle a few years ago.
