Larval foodplants : Pedunculate Oak, on the withered leaves

Morley's Final Catalogue : Our commonest sylvan Snout, frequent among undergrowth in late May. Always in Bentley Woods (Garrett, Pyett, Mly), Copdock (Hkg), Holbrook Park (C), Ipswich, Stowmarket. Mildenhall in June 1933 (Gd).

Wingspan details : Forewing 14-16mm, Wingspan 30-35mm
