Local Status : Uncertain (SMP Status 4)

Habitats : Grassland on chalky soil, heathland, moorland, woodland rides, coastal sand-dunes

Flight Period : Single-brooded; late May to July

Larval foodplants : Common Milkwort, Heath Milkwort, possibly also Lousewort

Records : Redgrave and Lopham Fens (C W Pierce, 7.vi.1966 & 5.vi.1967; H E Chipperfield, 26.v.1971)

Morley's Final Catalogue : With us nearly confined to the Breck, and there both very local and apparently decadent. Newmarket heath (Fenland), Tuddenham (Skepper, Wrt) up to at least 1900 (Sparke). Herringfleet, before 1890 (Crf); several at Bradwell doles in June 1935 (D Mly).

Wingspan details : Forewing 9-11mm, Wingspan 19-20mm
