Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 1) Distribution and abundance : Widespread and common Habitats : Broad-leaved woodland, areas with scrub oak and gardens Flight Period : Double-brooded; late March to early August and mid-August to mid-October Larval foodplants : Pedunculate Oak and possibly Sessile Oak Morley's Final Catalogue : Apparently not very common. Brandon and at West Stow only (ante 1890). On ivy -blossom at Covehithe in September 1935 (Mly) and Bungay in October 1900 (Mn); Bentley in 1934 and several bred at Waldringfield in 1907 (Wlr); at light n Monks Soham House at the end of April 1932 (Mly) ; at sallow in Barsham (Gls) and Fritton marshes in 1936 (Mr).
