Habitats : In a wide variety, including fens, open woodland, scrub, heathland, grassland and gardens

Flight Period : Single-brooded; June to mid-August. Occasional partial second brood in October

Larval foodplants : Various herbaceous plants

Morley's Final Catalogue : Both referring also to Uncertain are sufficiently frequent at light everywhere; Ipswich, Monks Soham, Gorleston.

Wingspan details : Forewing 13-16mm, Wingspan 32-38mm
