Habitats : Coastal grassy areas

Flight Period : May be recorded at any time of year, most numerous from August to November

Larval foodplants : Various grasses

Records : Landguard (N Odin & M Marsh, 2000, 2002-3 & 2007) Tunstall (D Young, 2000; P Wilkins, 2003), Southwold (L Townsend, 2000), Dunwich Heath (M Cornish, 2002), Orfordness (J Askins, 2002), Reydon (A Cornish, 26.ix.2004), Bawdsey (M Deans, 31.x.2004)

Morley's Final Catalogue : A single example of this immigrant at Leiston in August 1878 (Hon. B. de Grey).

Wingspan details : Forewing 18-21mm, Wingspan 41-48mm
