Distribution and abundance : Local, more frequent in coastal areas

Habitats : Damp habitats; meadows, marshes, riverbanks, woodland and gardens

Flight Period : Single-brooded; late June to early August

Larval foodplants : Various herbaceous plants

Morley's Final Catalogue : Frequent everywhere, even in the hedge-shorn wilds of High Suffolk at Monks Soham and Dennington, extending to Gorleston.

Wingspan details : Forewing 17-22mm, Wingspan 36-46mm
