Habitats : Wet woodland, carr and fens

Flight Period : Single-brooded; late May to August

Larval foodplants : Alder

Morley's Final Catalogue : Quite locally common, always among alders in marshes. Especially noticed in Bramford marshes, 1895; Bixley Decoy, 1904; Blythburgh damp wood, 1932 (D) ; Beccles and Fritton.

Wingspan details : Forewing 9-12mm, Wingspan 23-25mm
