Habitats : Damp woodland, banked hedgerows along sunken lanes

Flight Period : Single-brooded; late June to mid-August

Larval foodplants : Stitchworts

Morley's Final Catalogue : Wide spread in the east, only, of the County; local. Hadleigh in mid-May 1903 (Harwood, Ent. Rec. 1905, 267); Copdock in mid-July 1896 only (Hkg); Bentley (Ml) Woods, one in July 1895 (Baylis); Freston (Freeman); Hemley in 1906 (Wlr); Aldeburgh (Wrt). Needham (L) and Stowmarket (C). Recently singly at Gorleston (D, Mr).

Wingspan details : Forewing 14-17mm, Wingspan 31-34mm
