Habitats : In a wide variety, including woodland, heathland, scrub, fens, grassland

Flight Period : Double-brooded; May to mid-July and August to early September

Larval foodplants : Various bedstraws

Morley's Final Catalogue : Generally distributed, frequent in sylvan places, often at light: from Bentley Woods through Monks Soham at light in August, to Fritton and Gorleston (Mr).

Wingspan details : Forewing 12-15mm, Wingspan 25-29mm
