Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 4)

Distribution and abundance : Rare

Habitats : Grassy areas, mainly coastal in distribution

Flight Period : Double-brooded; literature gives late May to mid-July and August

Larval foodplants : Lady's, Heath and Hedge Bedstraws

Records : West Stow (C Smith, 1985)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Single specimens only; highly decadent. I have never seen it here (Morley). One at Bentley in June 1874 (Henry Miller). One at Chelmondiston in 1903 (EMM. 1904, 80). One at Gorleston on 12 June 1925, but none later (Doughty).

Wingspan details : Forewing 13-15mm, Wingspan 28-32mm
