Distribution and abundance : Mainly coastal, appearing in low numbers. Single record from Eye (P Kitchener, 1996)

Habitats : Damp areas; fens, marshes, and wet woodland.

Flight Period : Double-brooded; June to early July and late July to September

Larval foodplants : Various bedstraws

Records : St Olaves (H Jenner, 1988), Eye (P Kitchener, 1996), Minsmere (C Anderson, 1995 & 1997; SMG, 2001 and 2003; N Calbrade, 2001 and R Harvey, 2003, 2005-6), Reydon (A Cornish, 1998, 1999), North Warren (SMG, 2001), Westwood Marshes (SMG, 2001), Kenton Hills (SMG, 2002), Dunwich Heath (M Cornish, 2002 and 2003), Aldeburgh (SMG, 18.vi.2005), Redgrave Fen (N Sherman, 16.vi.2006)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Frequent among Galium palustre in most marshes. Belstead, sparingly at Ipswich lights, Bramford marshes, Needham, Stowmarket, Glemham Magna, Beccles, at Bungay light; Brandon.

Wingspan details : Forewing 11-14mm, Wingspan 24-27mm
