Distribution and abundance : Generally widespread, poorly represented in the south of the county

Habitats : Fen, heathland, grassland

Flight Period : Single-brooded; late June to mid-September

Larval foodplants : Meadowsweet and Common Valerian

Morley's Final Catalogue : Locally quite frequent in both east and west. Belstead, Ipswich, Barham, Coddenham, Brandeston; not very common at Yoxford, Beccles, Lowestoft, Fritton, Bradwell (D). Tuddenham, Brandon.

Wingspan details : Forewing 12-13mm, Wingspan 24-27mm
