Distribution and abundance : Local, can be abundant where it occurs, mainly in the Sandlings and Brecks

Habitats : Grassland, scrub and woodland

Flight Period : Single-brooded; mid-June to early August

Larval foodplants : Germander Speedwell (Veronica chaemedrys)

Morley's Final Catalogue : The most frequent Plume in the County, occurring everywhere among Veronica Speedwell. Often at August light in Monks Soham, where it occurs on ivy-flowers in mid-October and hibernates till the sallow attracts it in the last week of March.
