National Status : Notable Nb

Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 3)

Distribution and abundance : Localised to the coast

Habitats : Coastal vegetated shingle banks and fens

Flight Period : Single-brooded; late June to mid-August

Larval foodplants : Common Restharrow (Ononis repens), possibly also clovers (Trifolium)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Occurs sparingly along most, if not the whole, of our coast from Felixstow in 1901, 1902 and 1903 (Gibbs), through the Southwold southern sandhills (in July 1901, Mly), to both Benacre and Kessingland (before 1890, Crf). Dunwich beach, 1937 (Mly).
