Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 2)

Distribution and abundance : Local

Habitats : Fens, woodland and grassland

Flight Period : Single-brooded; mid-June to July

Larval foodplants : Chiefly Hemp Agrimony (Eupatorium cannabinum) but also Wood Sage (Teocrium scorodonia), woundwort (Stachys) and Common Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Very much scarcer than in south England. Ipswich, Playford, Stowmarket, Glemham Magna and Beccles, all before 1890; no later records. Never seen here (Morley).
