Local Status : Uncertain, possibly extinct (SMP Status 4)

Habitats : Cliffs and grassland on chalky soils

Flight Period : Double-brooded; May to June and July to August

Larval foodplants : possibly Meadow Clary (Salvia pratensis) or Thyme (Thymus drucei)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Much overlooked in the east: Lowestoft (Skepper); quite common in both Letheringham Park and Parham Wood in August (Mly). Ickworth (Wrt); Elveden (Williams); and quite common between Elveden and Bamham (Nurse, Ent. 1911, 221).
