Local Status : Resident (SMP Status 3)

Distribution and abundance : Local, primarily in the Brecks and Sandlings

Habitats : Fens, woodland and gardens

Flight Period : Single-brooded; June to mid-September

Larval foodplants : various Cruciferae, especially Perennial Wall-rocket (Diplotaxis tenuifolia), Charlock (Sinapis arvensis) and White Mustard (S. alba), on the seed-heads

Morley's Final Catalogue : Found at Tuddenham in 1898 by Sparke, in 1900 by Norgate and him, subsequently common there (Ent. Oct. 1901); also there by Nurse (l.c. 1911, 221); Thetford in August 1931.

Wingspan details : Wingspan 27-31mm
