Distribution and abundance : Local

Habitats : Fens

Flight Period : Single-brooded; July to mid-August

Larval foodplants : bur-reeds (Sparganium), Yellow Water-lily (Nuphur lutea) and other water plants

Morley's Final Catalogue : Both (referring to P. stratiotata and N. stagnata) common in all our marshes, and occasionally at light.
