Habitats : Heathland, fens and woodland

Flight Period : Single-brooded; August to early September

Larval foodplants : various grasses, especially Bromus

Morley's Final Catalogue : Certainly infrequent here. Waldringfield at light in 1931-2 (Wlr) ; Fritton before 1890 (Bd) ; Lowestoft in August (Ent. 1922, 258); at Thetford (Mly) and near Thetford (Harwood); Brandon (Barrett), Worlington 1906-10-24 (Bp.); and close to the Tuddenham windmill (Waters), which is now demolished.
