Larval foodplants : In a gall on the stem of Sallow (Salix caprea) or Grey Sallow (Salix cinerea)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Causes swellings in willow shoots; imagines rarely observed. Beaten from bushes in Raydon Wood during May 1933, only once flew to light at Monks Soham (Mly); one example taken at Ampton during 1911-2 (Nurse, Ent. 1913, 195).
