Flight Period : Single-brooded; mid-July to mid-August

Larval foodplants : In the seeds of Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus)

Aston's Additions : Recent addition to the British list. I caught a specimen during the day on 10.viii.1951 at Stowmarket (Trans. S.N.S., Vol. X, pt. IV, p. 288). The Golden Piercer.

Wingspan details : Wingspan 14-15mm
