Larval foodplants : As an inquiline in young galls on oaks (Quercus)

Records : Ipswich (A Watchman, 25.v.1977), Rede Wood (SMG, 8.v.1998), Minsmere (J Higgott, 17.v.2003)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Frequent everywhere among oak. Copdock, common on oak-trunks and beaten from birch in Bentley Woods during April and May, not uncommon all round Ipswich, Nacton, Shrubland Park, Redlingfield, Monks Soham; Brandon.
