Habitats : Gardens, hedgerows, open woodland, fens, heathland and scrub

Larval foodplants : On the flower buds or young shoots of roses (Rosa) or brambles (Rubus)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Another frequent rose-species; unnoted in the west. Monks Soham garden occasionally in May (Mly); Swefling (Bloomfield); Southwold (Ctw); Beccles, Lowestoft, Yarmouth.
