Habitats : Open woodland, fens, hedgerows, parks and gardens

Flight Period : Single-brooded; July to mid-August

Larval foodplants : In a shoot or leaf-stalk of poplars (Populus)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Fairly common among poplar, and on tree-trunks in woods. Frequent in Bentley Woods (Hkg, Pyett); Ipswich in 1930-1 (Whit); Leiston (Grey); Lowestoft (Bd); Brandon (Barrett).
