Local Status : Uncertain (SMP Status 4)

Habitats : Chalk grassland and other areas where the foodplant occurs

Flight Period : Double-brooded; April to June and August to September

Larval foodplants : On the leaves, flowers and seeds of scabiouses (Scabiosa and Succisa)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Scarce and not recorded with us since it was taken on the south side of the river at Brandon before 1890 (Barrett, Tr. Norf. Soc. i, 55), till the Bishop found it in 1930 at Worlington.

Wingspan details : Wingspan male 11-18mm, female 10-14mm
