Morley's Final Catalogue : Phlaeodes Crenana : Of this insect I have captured only one at present, though I have visited the locality regularly since 23 March, when it occurred at sallow-flowers. 'in Suffolk.' - Tim. Last, 43 Rope Walk, Ipswich; 15 April 1861 (Ent. Wk. Intell. x, 27).Typical of the secretive and very personal Victorian dealer.
