Distribution and abundance : Localised mainly to Brecks and Sandlings

Habitats : Woodland, heathland, fens and scrub

Flight Period : Single-brooded; late May to July

Larval foodplants : On the leaves of birches (Betula)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Occurs sparingly among birch in Bentley Woods in June and July 1901 (Pyett), July 1902 (Gbs) and 1934-5, as well as Sutton Heath (Whit).

Wingspan details : Wingspan 19-22mm
