Habitats : Coastal areas, grassland and heathland

Flight Period : Single-brooded; June to early August

Larval foodplants : On thymes (Thymus), sea-lavenders (Limonium), Thrift (Armeria maritima) and clovers (Trifolium)

Records : Ipswich (N Sherman, 2002, 2004-5), Elveden (B Statham, vii.2002), Martlesham Heath (S Goddard, 25.vii.2002), North Warren (P Wilkins, 5.vii.2003), Icklingham (S Clancy, 27.vii.2004), Cavenham (L Gregory,, West Stow (SMG, 10.viii.2005)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Very local here. Southwold in 1897, and Beccles (Ctw); rather plentiful on the Breck round Brandon (Barrett) and in 1934 at Euston (Whit).
