Distribution and abundance : Local

Habitats : Woodland, fens and heathland

Flight Period : Single-brooded; mid-June to July

Larval foodplants : On the leaves of oaks (Quercus), hawthorns (Crataegus) or brambles (Rubus)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Very local, and not observed by us since 1890, when it was recorded from Lowestoft (Boyd) and as not uncommon at Brandon (Barrett, Tr. Norf. Soc. i, 52).
