Distribution and abundance : Scarce

Habitats : Grassland, scrub, rough banks, stream banks

Flight Period : Single-brooded; May to August

Larval foodplants : In the seed-head of Teasel (Dipsacus fullonum)

Morley's Final Catalogue : I have found no Roseana in teasel-heads in Suffolk (Whit, 1936). Apparently quite rare with us: galleries in teasel-heads at Old Newton in 1937 (Mly); Mildenhall, one in 1937 (Gd).
