Habitats : Chalky grassland, damp heaths and other areas where the foodplants grow

Flight Period : Double-brooded; May to June and July to August

Larval foodplants : In the seed capsule of Cowslip (Primula veris), Lousewort (Pedicularis sylvatica) or Goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Flying before dusk in my Monks Soham paddock, where primrose abounds, in mid-May 1936 (Morley).
