Distribution and abundance : Scarce

Habitats : Fens and grassland

Flight Period : Single-brooded; mid-June to August

Larval foodplants : On the roots of Fleabane (Pulicaria dysenterica) and Field Wormwood (Artemisia campestris)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Apparently quite a local species, though feeding on fleabane. Taken at Hemley (EMM. 1904, 80), again at dusk and bred in 1935 (Wlr); Sotterly at light, 1936 (Gd); Orford in July 1902 (Gbs); and Lowestoft (Bd).
