Larval foodplants : gorse (Ulex), preferring Dwarf Gorse (Ulex minor)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Apparently scarcer than on south English heaths. Larvae making large webs among broom and furze on Breck-sands (Farren, Ent. 1886, 81); Tuddenham (Wrn).

Wingspan details : Wingspan male 14-20mm, female 12-15mm
