Habitats : Heathland, grassland, downland and waste ground

Flight Period : Single-brooded, late June to early August

Larval foodplants : Gorse (Ulex), Broom (Cytisus scoparius) or Dyer's Greenweed (Genista tinctoria)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Aldeburgh in 1892 and Southwold upon several occasions (Ctw); Lowestoft (Bd). Southwold in 1934 (Wlr). Among broom on the Breck-sands (Farren, Ent. 1886, 81).
