Larval foodplants : Black Poplar (Populus nigra) or Lombardy Poplar (Populus nigra var. italica). Possibly also willows and sallows (Salix)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Listed as non-Suffolk

Aston's Additions : Mr. Morley swept it commonly on 30.v.1941 from the gravel hillside to the North of Bentley Woods. Specimens identified bv Mr. Rait-Smith (Trans. S.N.S. Vol. V, pt. 1, p. 48).
