Habitats : Sandy coasts and recently other inland habitats

Flight Period : Single-brooded, late June to August

Larval foodplants : Mosses

Records : Thorpeness (S Wakely & J M Chalmers-Hunt, 18.vii.1964), Icklingham (A Beaumont, 14.iv.2002), Landguard (N Odin, 2004-6)

Morley's Final Catalogue : One example, captured by Bloomfield at Lowestoft denes on 28 July 1871 and in Stainton's collection, was 'erroneously recorded (Ent. Annual 1872, p. 123 and EMM. 1893, pp. 213, 237) as Gelechia Strelicella, HS. (Suff. List 1890, 49). Several on sugar at Felixstow during both 1901-2 (Gibbs).
