Distribution and abundance : Rare

Habitats : Sand dunes, hedgerows and roadside verges

Flight Period : Single-brooded, August to May, hibernating through the winter

Larval foodplants : Bur Chervil (Anthriscus caucalis), Cow Parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris) or Rough Chervil (Chaerophyllum temulum). In Scandinavia also reported from Wild Angelica (Angelica sylvestris), Garden Angelica (Angelica archangelica) or Moon Carrot (Seseli libanotis)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Among sheeps-parsley. Taken at Brandon very locally (Barrett); and at Southwold after 1890 (Ctw).
