Broom (Cytisus scoparius), gorse (Ulex), Dyer's Greenweed (Genista tinctoria), Petty Whin (Genista anglica), or Tree Lupin (Lupinus arboreus). On the continent it is also recorded on Laburnum (Laburnum anagyroides)

Common among gorse; unnoted in the west, except at Brandon. Ipswich district not rare in July (Pyett, Whit.), Orford (Whit.), Leiston (Grey), Blythburgh Wood (Mly), Southwold (Ctw), Lowestoft (J. Sang), Oulton May 1931 and Gorleston (D).
